Mesh:
Woofingdales mesh harnesses are made from polyester and the mesh refers to the structure of the fabric. The mesh harnesses are a constructed with an open hole structure to the fabric and a soft padding in the middle of the harness. If you hold your harness to the light, you can make out the light through the harness. The result is an ultra lightweight, yet sturdy, soft material that is extremely flexible and very soft.
The polyester material repels the water and the overall mesh effect means water does not stay trapped in the harness. This means it is great for outdoor adventures; and when it is wet, it does not become heavy or mis-shaped with the water in the fabric, whereas fabrics like wool, tweed etc. will certainly do. The structure also helps shed dirt and debris out of the material as it is not able to become trapped in the fabric.
Woofingdales mesh harnesses are available in mesh x mesh (both sides) and also a come in mesh x neoprene, depending on the harness. If you have a puppy that is not used to a harness, and is protesting at wearing one, an all mesh harness can be a great introductory harness for your dog due to its light a as feather feeling!

Neoprene
Woofingdales neoprene harnesses are made from, you guessed it, neoprene! Neoprene is the name of the material; you may have seen it or heard it mentioned when describing wetsuits for example. Neoprene is a synthetic, safe, extremely soft rubber and is a very popular material for land and sea activities because it has many benefits including stain resistance, water repellence and durability.
It is extremely lightweight repels water away from the fabric instead of absorbing it. It is a non-see through material, very flexible and soft. Woofingdales neoprene harnesses are available in mesh x neoprene and neoprene x neoprene depending on the design of the harness.
